Systems Administrator
Location: Pasadena, CA
​4+ months (possibility to extend) 

Job Description
  • As a Systems Administrator III you will take a leadership role within the team and provide mentoring to junior members of the team.
  • System Administrator III is responsible for the upkeep, configuration and reliable operation of Client
  • Corporate server and network systems.
  • System Administrators seek to ensure that uptime, performance, resources and security of the systems that are managed to meet the needs of their customers.

Essential Functions: 
  • Administration of Windows Active Directory environment, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, DFS, SCCM.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking equipment – switches, routers, wireless access points.
  • Jira / Confluence administration and management
  • Cisco WebEx administration and management.
  • Administrator of PBX, deployment of phones to end users.
  • Maintain office equipment including printers, audio video equipment and phone equipment.
  • Deployment of computers to end users using Windows.
  • Deployment Services and/or Mac imaging servers.
  • End user support for both Windows and Mac.

  • Servers – both Windows and Linux servers.
  • Network equipment: Juniper switches, routers, firewalls. Cisco Aruba controller and access points.
  • Cisco Telepresence servers and Video endpoints.
  • PBX and Telephone systems – programming and deployment of phones.
  • Monitoring and alerting systems – Icinga, Nagios, Graylog.
  • Desktop – Windows and Mac OSX experience.

Physical Demands:  
  • Participate in an On-call rotation for afterhours support.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50lbs.

  • Knowledge of a wide variety of current server hardware and software platforms.
  • Strong Windows and Linux server administrator background.
  • Strong networking background, including experience with Juniper and Cisco and enterprise level wireless.
  • Knowledge of Apple Operating Systems and Mobile Devices.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems, Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
  • Drive, responsible, and prompt.
  • Ability to prioritize issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency and willingness to quickly learn new applications.
  • Experience with web-based applications such as Google Apps a plus.

Experience with scripting in Python, PowerShell, Perl, Bash.
Experience with Atlassian tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Crowd and HipChat.
