The Service Content & Training team is seeking an experienced Tableau dashboard designer to build reports that will drive action within the training team and partner organizations.
Spearheading the design, development, and deployment of Tableau dashboards, including data preparation and ensuring data integrity. This role involves working with stakeholders to understand business requirements, and translating those requirements into beautiful and informative dashboards.
The successful candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to multitask, passionate about data integrity, has a strong attention to detail, and prefers simplicity over complexity. The candidate should be able to articulate a viewpoint on the design of dashboards, and must be willing to collaborate with stakeholders and other team members on the design of the final solution. The individual must be a strong verbal and written communicator, and will be expected to explain dashboard solutions to stakeholders.
The Data Analyst will:
¥ Work with stakeholders to understand the way that their business operates
¥ Use database design best practices to build a data schema that captures the requirements of the analytics solution
¥ Design dashboards that meet reporting requirements of stakeholders, and be able to articulate the benefits of the dashboard design
¥ Develop and deploy Tableau dashboards, and respond to enquiries about the dashboards
¥ Build slide decks that summarize the most important insights from the analysis, and be able to communicate the results to stakeholders
¥ Provide subject matter expertise to members of the team
¥ Deliver ad-hoc analyses and validate results
¥ Ability to tell meaningful stories with data
¥ 2 years experience with Tableau is required (certification is preferred, and a portfolio of Tableau dashboards may be requested)
¥ Strong knowledge of ETL processes, relational database principles, and SQL
¥ Working knowledge of Keynote, Numbers, and Excel
¥ Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills, especially an ability to simplify complex data into actionable insights
¥ Ability to think critically about solutions, and debate the merits of different approaches with team members
¥ High attention to detail, organization, team-orientation and an ability to work under tight deadlines
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (CS or quantitative emphasis preferred, some academic experience with statistics preferred)
